QSense flow modules are made of aluminum (shell) and titanium (liquid contacting surfaces) and the O-rings and sealing are made of Viton?. More chemically resistant materials are available upon request. In addition to the tubing material, liquid samples only come into contact with titanium and Viton during experimentation. The volume above the sensor is 40 μL and the minimum sample volume is approximately 250 μL. There is also a temperature stabilization loop to ensure excellent temperature control and stable QCM signals.
Additionally, the flow modules can be completely disassembled, allowing thorough cleaning of the module components, for instance in an ultrasonic bath. Additional flow modules can be purchased to reduce the risk of contamination in a multi-user environment, and thus improve reproducibility and reliability.
